MLB - A New Fan

It is a complete joy at present to watch the post-season highlights of MLB. The World Series between the Dodgers and the Mets is great.

Indeed, the highlights, usually about 15 minutes of each game are brilliantly constructed and produced. Not only all the hits, runs and amazing plays but also some superb cinematography of the fans as they either explode with joy or begin a trip into Dantes Hell – well that is what it appears like to me!

There is another striking physical marker apparent to me. A significant number of players are either incredibly fatigued after a long season or carrying long term injuries. The running in both the outfield and around the bases reminds me of people my age, not fit, strong athletes.

As an innovator it strikes me that getting baseline early season data from the gait of your “roster” (whatever that means) would be invaluable to monitor and improve injury and fatigue recovery.
